Meet on accounting from today

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will organise a two-day conference on 'The Global Challenge to Accounting' in city on January 23-24.

The main theme of the conference revolves around the developing paradigm that the way business, especially multinational business is expanding.

The deliberations in the conference will provide a platform where eminent speakers including representatives of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), major international business schools, and the World Bank, will present their views for consideration of the assembly.

The conference also aims to deal with several sub-themes including the corporate challenge to accounting and auditing, changing facets of government accounting, enterprise governance, banking, taxation, flaws in the brave new world etc.
