Cornell University, an Ivy League based in Ithaca, New York, and the city-based Sathguru Management Consultants, will organise 'Food Executive Program', a customised, in-country food programme for South Asia at Hotel Viceroy from January 25 to 30.

This was announced by K Vijayaraghavan, the director of Sathguru Management Consultants, at an interactive session between the media and the students and the faculty of Cornell University, who are on a five-day visit to Hyderabad to understand the Indian agriculture, rural development and policy development,

Vijayraghavan said that the programme would deliberate on the application of programme learnings, wherein teams of participants will engage in computerised simulation of a very dynamic and competitive market and learn how various strategies impact the sales and profits.

"Provocative seminars on CRM strategies, food safety and technology issues will provide all-round exposure to food marketing and retailing. Case study analysis will stimulate critical thinking and discussion," he said.

Senior and middle management executives of food retailing, distribution and processing firms, academics engaged in conducting food marketing courses and policy planners engaged in integrating agriculture and food sectors would benefit from the programme.
