Meet to discuss ICT for masses

Around 20 experts, including those from top IT firms, will address about 250 delegates participating in the two-day all-India workshop on 'Information & Communication Technology (ICT) for Masses'.
 
It will be inaugurated here by deputy chief minister Siddaramaiah on September 25. Chief minister Dharam Singh will deliver the valedictory address and Union minister of state for planning M V Rajasekharan will be the chief guest on September 26.
 
The experts comprise Intel's Chetan Krishnaswamy, HP's emerging market director Anand Thacker, Infosys founder director Dinesh, Edurite's Srikant and ITC's Chowpal.
 
The other invited speakers will be from corporates and institutions which have implemented ICT for the masses and shown that it is scaleable and economically viable.
 
Invited zilla panchayat members will be among those who will share a live demonstration of technology that has been adopted to reach the masses, particularly the rural masses.
