Mini cement plants for ad valorem duty

 It has also urged the centre to resolve the long- pending issue of bringing the diesel used for captive power generation under the Modvat scheme, as the furnace oil used by the large plants are already eligible for Modvat.

 It also sought exemption from excise duty for the mini cement plants using flyash and blast furnace slag, and import duty on coke breeze or anthracite coal to benefit the VSK plants.
