The finance and petroleum ministries today narrowed their differences on levying an additional cess on domestic production of crude once the prices are aligned with imported crude from April 1.
Sources said the issue had to be finalised before dismantling the controls. They, however, maintained that there were no differences within the government on the subject. Sources added that the matter would not need to travel to the Prime Minister
