Ministry Of Power Seeks Duty-Free Coal Imports

The power ministry wants coal imports to be made duty-free and the power sector allowed to choose the cheapest fuel needed to meet its generation needs.

In its comments on the draft liquefied natural gas (LNG) policy prepared by the petroleum ministry, the power ministry said it would support any reduction in fuel costs.
