Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi today appealed to the people of the state to maintain peace after the Allahabad High Court verdict on controversial Ayodhya site dispute on Friday.
“A decision is expected to come in the longstanding Ayodhya case. Though you would be eagerly expecting the judgment please do not be swayed by excitement as it will not benefit anyone. Remember that Gujarat has laid to rest, for the past several years, the ghost of violence and curfew,” Modi said in a message ahead of the verdict on September 24.
