Suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) Chairman Lalit Modi has demanded disbandment of BCCI's Disciplinary Committee, which will conduct an inquiry in the alleged irregularities he committed while being at the helm of affairs. Modi has demanded that retired Supreme Court judges should look into his case.
In a legal notice to the BCCI, Modi has asked for removal of one of the panelists - IPL's interim chairman Chirayu Amin. Modi has claimed that Amin cannot be a member as he was one of the investors in the consortium which failed in its bid for buying the Pune franchise.
The other members of the Disciplinary Committee are Arun Jaitley and Jyotiraditya Scindia, who was inducted on July 3, 2010, as a replacement for BCCI president Shashank Manohar, after he recused himself from the panel.
