Paying tributes to Major Rishikesh Ramani, killed in an encounter in Kashmir, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said there should be "zero tolerance towards terrorism".
"The government should adopt zero tolerance towards terrorism," he said after visiting the residence of Major Ramani this morning.
"It is unfortunate that terrorism is claiming lives of youths like Major Ramani for last 25 years," he said adding that the country should avenge such killings.
The 27-year-old Major was killed in a gunbattle with the terrorists in Kupwara district Kashmir on June 7.
Major Ramani is the eldest son Vallbhbhai Ramani, a Charted Accountant residing in Vikram Park Socieity in Bapunagar area of the city here. His body was brought to the city on June 9 and was later creamated.
