Oversight Committee chairman Veerappa Moily has denied that he had suggested postponement of the Reservation Bill slated for introduction in the coming monsoon session of Parliament.

"I myself personally or the Oversight Committee has at no point of time recommended or even suggested the postponement of the Bill," Moily said in a press release here.

The committee, set up to chart the course for implementation of quota for the OBCc in higher education, is expected to come out with an interim report next month followed by a final report in August.

After the committee's meeting on June 15, Moily had hinted that the ministry may postpone finalisation of the draft Bill till it submitted its interim report by middle of next month.
