Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) leader G K Moopanar, who is one of the probables for the leadership of the United Front, yesterday dismissed as hypothetical the question whether he would accept the UF leadership.It is hypothetical, Moopanar told reporters when asked whether he would accept the post of UF chairman.
It is for the UF steering committee to decide, Moopanar remarked.
The UF steering committe condoled the death of senior Janata Dal leader Biju Patnaik and adjourned after 30 minutes without taking up the leadership issue.
The committee is meeting here again at 1000 hours today to choose a new leader.
Both defence minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and Bihar Chief Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav also declined to comment when asked whether they would accept the UF leadership.
