Mother Dairy Plans New Product Range

Mother Dairy Calcutta was planning to increase its product portfolio to face competition from the overseas market as well as from other private sector players. The company launched its website today.

Inaugurating the website, the state minister for commerce and industry Nirupam Sen advised the company to invest in new technology to stay ahead of competition in the sector. The minister said Mother Dairy was selling products in a market which had been opened up to imports.

Officials from the company reiterating the point said that there were lack of awareness on the product portfolio of the company. To rectify this, it would have to spend more on advertising.
