Group to build 2-bedroom flats for Rs 6 lakh each for Baddi's low-income group

There is good news for the low-income group in the Baddi belt looking for dwelling units. The Mountview Group Housing Company is planning to come with two-bedroom flats for Rs 6 lakh.
 
Speaking to Business Standard, Harish Aggarwal, director, Mountview Group Housing Company, said 12 acres of land has been procured in Baddi, where 1,000 dwelling units will be constructed.
 
Aggarwal was in Chandigarh today to announce their new project "Monal Apartments" in Baddi, where they are coming up with 400 dwelling units for middle and higher salaried classes with an investment of Rs 100 crore.The non-Himachali population also will be able to buy them.
 
"We are targeting a class which has a monthly salary of Rs 6,000 and will kickstart the project in five months," said Aggarwal.
 
The move comes at a time when the number of units in the Baddi belt is about to cross 1,000, employing 100,000 workers.
 
With hardly any housing infrastructure, Baddi alone will be witnessing an influx of 50,000 workers, excluding the surrounding areas of Barotiwala and Nalagarh.
 
Spread over eight acres the four-storeyed apartments will have two- and three-bedroom apartments. The two-bedroom flats have further been classified into 112 units with an area of 1,202 square feet and 96 units with an area of 1,192 sq feet.
 
The three-bedroom houses will have an area of 1,495 square feet and will have 176 apartments in this category.
 
The complex will have a school, dispensary, health centre and recreation club.
