MP Prof death: Court extends custody of Akela, Tomar

A local court today extended the judicial remand of former state president of Akhil Bharati Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Shashiranja Singh Akela and former secretary Vimal Tomar in the murder case of professor H S Sabharwal.

The two were produced in the court of a judicial magistrate, which extended their remand till September 29.

Akela and Tomar were arrested in the case of Professor Sabharwal's death following alleged manhandling by students during a college union election on August 26.
