The private hostels in Madhya Pradesh will come under the 'licence' system. Private hostels in Bhopal, Jabalpur and Indore have attracted parents' protests and they have complained about poor facilities and exorbitant rents.

The Human Rights Commission has taken a serious note of parents' complaints and has asked the MP government to bring the private hostels under 'licence' control.

"After receiving complaints from parents, the commission has instructed the government to allow private hostels in residential areas through licences only," MP Human Rights Commission Chairman DM Dharmadhikari said Business Standard.

The rules of business already existed but the MP government had not implemented it in the state so far, he said.
