Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is yet to restart work in the Naxal-hit Dantewada district despite the Chhattisgarh government clarification that it had not banned the outfit..

An official source said the NGO had voluntarily stopped the work in Dantewada.

"We only followed the guidelines of the state government and asked the police to communicate the message to the NGO to stop working," KR Pisda, district collector, Dantewada, said today.

However, the state government backtracked after the furore over the ban and asked the district administration to revoke it. "The order was issued on Monday and the MSF was asked to start work immediately," Pisda said.
