MSME chamber Indian Industries Association (IIA)has demanded a more facilitating environment than a regulatory regime for their development.
Addressing a special session on MSME development, IIA president Anil Gupta said the association had taken several steps to facilitate the sector from setting up an enterprise to running it successfully.
Union MSME joint secretary Pravin Kumar was chief guest at the session.
IIA had set up MSME Knowledge Bank in association with Sidbi, which is operational since 2003. A new facility of MSME Data Centre is being added to it to be operational by July 2010.
Gupta shared the idea of Social Security Scheme for all workers of registered/un-registered MSMEs in India through which more than 60 million workers as well as 26 million MSMEs would be benefitted.
“IIA is preparing a detailed proposal on this scheme, which will be submitted to the union ministry of labour soon,” he informed that added the state government was also required to take such proactive steps in the interest of both the workers as well as MSMEs.
Kumar informed a special facility being started under Rajiv Gandhi Udyami Mitra Yojana (RGUMY), wherein queries of all the registered entrepreneurs will be addressed on mobile phones.
