Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today foresaw no danger to his government and said any move to bring the central rule in the state would lead to a "revolt". |
"There is no danger to my government and will not be. It will complete its full term. There will be serious consequences of President's rule in Uttar Pradesh, there will be a revolt," Yadav, who is also the Samajwadi Party chief, told reporters. |
The UP chief minister was asked whether he apprehended threat to his government in the wake of imposition of President's rule in Bihar and Goa. |
He, however, hastened to add that the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre would not commit "any such mistake", which would create a rebellious situation. |
Yadav, who had a meeting with CPI(M) General Secretary Harkishen Singh Surjeet earlier in the day, emphasised that there would be formation of a third front. |
"The third front will take shape. You know I do not talk in the air," he said adding that some of the UPA partners were feeling suffocated. |
