President A P J Abdul Kalam, who is arriving here this evening on a two-day visit, would visit the KEM Hospital to meet the people injured in the train bombings, a senior official said.

Kalam would also go to the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) to interact with young scientists there.

"President Kalam is scheduled to go to KEM Hospital at 7.20 pm and from there he would go to BARC," Shailesh Bijoor, chief of protocol of Maharasthra government, said.

Kalam was originally scheduled to go to BARC from the airport, but the change in the itinerary has been done as the President wanted to meet those injured in the bomb blasts first, Bijoor added.
