What did you think of the Budget?
From a layman’s point of view, I think it’s a fairly balanced Budget and I am pretty satisfied with it. Also, the Commonwealth Games budget has got a lift, so we can expect the work to finish on time.
What were your expectations?
I did not have many expectations but it’s nice to see the finance minister mentioning something on the lines of getting oil prices on the same level as the global oil price.
Have your expectations been met?
I am happy that the bigger cars will get cheaper now as the excise duty has been reduced on some cars. Being a car freak, I am actually delighted with that decision.
Any particular concerns?
Not too many. I am very happy with the overall Budget as it has something for everyone.
What does the Budget mean to you on a personal level?
As far as taxes are concerned, the Budget doesn’t make too much of a difference to me. But cars, electronic items and the defence budget being upped does make me happy.
