The fifth chapter of Mybuild-2005 from December 5 in Mysore will showcase some of the latest innovative and emerging technologies in construction products in the country. |
The prestigious annual event organised by the Mysore Centre of Builders Association of India (BAI), has been gaining in popularity with each passing year and this year all its 150 stalls are already taken. |
If 40,000 visitors visited the exhibition last year, this year the BAI is expecting over 60,000 visitors. Consequently, this year's event is planned bigger and grandeur with several new innovations to make it more attractive. |
"The success of the preceding years has spurred a tremendous response to the event this year. We are brining in products that have never been witnessed before in Mysore," organising committee chief A V Sridhar said. |
One such innovative technology to be showcased is a security system, `smart homes?. With a remote, all the main household gadgets can be controlled and security ensured, said BAI chief S Prakash, speaking to Business Standard after a press conference on Wednesday. |
Sridhar added several exhibitors from across the country will display a range of equipment, construction material, tiles, doors, aluminum fittings, sanitary items, electrical fittings, housing loans, interiors and furniture. |
"The event is being conceived in such a way as to enable a person building a house to view and access all the information he desires, under one roof," said Sridhar. |
The five-day event has this time drawn more participation from property developers, both from Mysore and Bangalore. |
Damden, S A Properties from Bangalore, Sankalp, Enclaves, Premier Properties and Chamundi developers from Mysore are some who will be showcasing their property offers. |
For the first time, a developer from Chennai is also taking part. |
The enthusiastic response is because Mysore is fast emerging as the next IT destination after Bangalore and increasing demand for property assets, added Sridhar. |
