The 'student internet world' programme, confined to IT.Com in Bangalore so far, is in progress in all the 27 districts for the first time. |
In Mysore, it was launched on the Rajyotsava Day by deputy chief minister Siddaramaiah. A district-level programme implementation committee has been formed under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner G Kumar Naik and comprises NIC, NIIT, BSNL and other officials connected with IT. |
The internet exposure programme is in progress in two engineering colleges of Mysore "� National Institute of Engineering and Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering. Each college has made available 100 computers and 200 students are simultaneously being informed of internet. |
While 1,200 students each from Mysore took part on the first day, 600 students from each of the remaining seven taluks of Mysore district are being exposed to the IT wonder on the rest of the four days. |
