Joshi is learnt to have expressed his displeasure over the manner in which the BJP is being run. In a series of meetings and strategy sessions held by Naidu in the recent past, Joshi has largely been ignored by the party leadership.

This has provoked Joshi loyalists to remark that the party is being run like a "club".

Though the Sangh has maintained a tactical distance on the issue of Joshi's resignation following the Rae Bareli court's order, the RSS leadership has taken cognisance of Joshi's complaints about functioning of the BJP.

RSS joint general secretary Madan Das Devi went to the party's headquarters and confabulated with Naidu on issues raised by Joshi and several other leaders.

Later in the evening, Naidu held discussion with Sudershan and other senior leaders and tried to explain his position. The Sangh's is worried that the internal feud if allowed to go unchecked would ultimately damage the Sangh Parivar's credibility and political strength.
