The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) will host the third edition of the two-day NASSCOM Engineering Summit on October 12 and 13 in Pune with the theme, 'Innovation and High Value Engineering'.

The 2011 summit will focus on globalisation of engineering, opportunities in emerging markets, frugal engineering and new models of co-creation and would provide a platform for delegates to "understand, debate and strategise", NASSCOM said in a statement.

NASSCOM will release a white paper during the conference titled, 'ER&D:Accelerating Innovation with Indian Engineering'.

“The white paper will take a view on the current drivers for engineering services, the business models being adapted by the industry and case studies on how India is moving toward high value engineering”, NASSCOM said.

The summit would have keynotes, investor master classes and strategic value sessions from speakers focusing on industry vertical tracks such as aerospace, automobiles, hi-tech electronics, embedded systems, infrastructure, medical electronics and telecom, it added.
