Nath for common stand with China

Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath today said it was important for India and China to take a "common and harmonised" position at the Doha Round of WTO negotiations.
 
Nath, who arrived here today for consultations with Chinese officials, said it was important for the two Asian majors to take a common and harmonised stand on issues of vital interests to both and to enable a successful conclusion of the Doha Round.
 
During the meeting with about 30 representatives of Indian industries at the Indian Embassy here, Nath said India and China enjoyed good rapport during WTO negotiations.
 
Nath will meet Chinese counterpart Bo Xilai as well as Chinese Agriculture Minister Sun Zhengcai and the Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Wan Jifei.
