Ncp Wins Kankavali, Jamner Civic Polls

The ruling Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Maharashtra has managed to get majority in the Kankavali and Jamner municipal council elections which were earlier controlled by the Shiv Sena-BJP combine.

In the Kankavali municipal council, which is the home turf of Narayan Tatu Rane, the leader of the opposition parties (Shiv Sena-BJP), the NCP won 10 seats out of the 17 seats, the Congress 5 and the Shiv Sena managing to win two seats.
