NDDB chairman to join IFPRI Board

The Board of Trustees of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) has invited Amrita Patel, chairman of National Dairy Development Board, Anand ( Gujarat) as a representative of South Asia. Amrita Patel has agreed to join the board, according to a press statement.

IFPRI is one of the 15 centres supported by the Consultative Group in International Agricultural Research, an alliance of 64 governments, private foundations and international and regional organisations.

Established in 1975, IFPRI’s vision is a world free of hunger and malnutrition where every person has secure access to sufficient and safe food to sustain a healthy and productive life. Joachim von Braun, director general, IFPRI is currently in Anand on a visit to NDDB.
