Netherlands for greater bilateral trade with India

Netherlands Ambassador to India Bob Hiensch has said that his country was eyeing greater bilateral trade between the two countries in coming years. He said Netherland was hoping bilateral trade to reach € 10 billion (Rs 60,000 crore) by 2014. At present exports from India are valued at € 2.3 billion (about Rs 14,000 crore) and imports at €1.6 billion (Rs 9,000 crore approx).

Netherlans is the fifth largest investor in India with firms based in Netherland investing over$4.2 billion in India according to the department of industrial policy and promotion, ministry of commerce and industry report from April 2000 to October 2009.
