Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd today introduced its answering machine service for subscribers within the Ahmedabad telecom district.
The service, made available in the state for the first time, will enable subscribers to store and forward voice mails in the answering machine box, when they are not present or when they do not want to attend a call. The stored messages can also be retrieved from any part of the world.
In the first phase, the facility would be available on selected telephone numbers within the Ahmedabad Telecom district, while it would be expanded in due course, BSNL officials said here. Subscribers interested in availing of this facility either need to dial 1500 for booking, or simply fax their requests.
