Chhattisgarh will get four new officials from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) to its cadre.
The Union government’s department concerned has allotted officials selected in the 2009 batch. Of the 131 IAS officials in the batch, four have been allotted Chhattisgarh cadre.
Officials with the general administration department, here, informed that Chhattisgarh government had given its consent to absorb all the IAS officials allotted to the state cadre. As per the norms, the state government has to first give its consent.
The fresh IAS officials would join here in the first week of July, officials said, adding that they would be on a probation period of two years. The newly joined IAS officials would get the first posting as assistant district collector.
Three men and one woman IAS officials who have been allotted Chhattisgarh cadre include Jai Prakash Mourya (Uttar Pradesh), Kartikey Goel, Ranu Sahu (Chhattisgarh) and Saransh Mittal (Punjab).
With this, the number in the IAS cadre in Chhattisgarh would increase to 116. The Union government had last year approved 183 posts of IAS officials for the state.
