Kolkata-based CESC Ltd is looking at entering power distribution business in Bihar. The company has recently bid for an international tender floated by the Bihar government for Patna Distribution Circle.
CESC had emerged as one of the two shortlisted bidders, said Sanjiv Goenka, RPG group vice- chairman. The company also plans to set up a 2,000 megawatt power plant in Bihar, with a land requirement of 1,100 acres.
