The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited global bids for construction and operation of a national highway project in Tamil Nadu worth an estimated Rs 1,100 crore.
"Applications are invited for pre-qualification under the following project on NH-45 in Tamil Nadu under NHDP Phase-IV," the NHAI said in a public announcement today.
Under the project, four lanes would be constructed on the national highway between Vikkravandi and Meensuruti, while two lanes would be laid between Meensuruti and Thanjavur.
The project will be awarded on a design-build-finance-operate-transfer (DBFOT) basis, with the operator recovering its investment from toll collections.
The deadline for submission of bids is December 16.
