NIA opens field office in Hyderabad

The field office of National Investigation Agency (NIA) was inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh director-general of police RR Girish Kumar at Cyberabad here on Tuesday. The NIA field office, which will be headed by deputy inspector general A Ravi Shankar, will have jurisdiction over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Union territory Puducherry and will investigate terror-related and other crimes, a press release said.
