The story of IKEA, straddling St Petersburg in Russia to New Delhi’s Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB), showcases the swift pace at which the Indian government has moved to enable entry of a serious investor and a top international brand.  This is unusual in a country known for bureaucratic red-tapism and more lately policy paralysis, till the government went on a “reform” overdrive last month.
