The Prime Minister's Office today said that it had not set up any panel of ministers to review pending environment clearances for infrastructure projects.
"There is no such group that has been constituted," a PMO spokesman said here.
A media report had claimed that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had constituted a five-member ministerial committee to review pending environment clearances for various infrastructure projects.
Surface Transport Minister Kamal Nath had in a reported letter to the Prime Minister accused Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh of blocking key highway projects by refusing environmental clearances.
