The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) yesterday received the Presidential sanction to prosecute former communications minister Sukh Ram in the telecom scam case and the chargesheet is likely to be filed early next week, agency sources said.
The chargesheet, alleging that Sukh Ram misused his office and authority to grant favour to a Hyderabad-based private firm, Advance Radio Masts Ltd, is ready and is likely to be filed before the designated court early next week, the sources said.
Another chargesheet in the case relating to Sukh Rams assets allegedly disproportionate to known sources of his income would be filed by the month-end, the sources said.
