Electoral process for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha polls covering 85 constituencies spread over eight States began with President Pratibha Patil issuing a notification today.
In the fourth phase, elections would be held on May seven for 25 seats in Rajasthan, 18 in Uttar Pradesh, 17 in West Bengal, ten Haryana, seven in Delhi, four in Punjab, three in Bihar and one in Jammu and Kashmir.
The filing of nominations, commencing from today with the issuance of notification, would end on April 18. The counting of votes would take place on May 16.
