NTPC inks MoU with ASCI

National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), the largest power generation utility in the country, today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI).
 
The MoU is set to bolster research work and in preparing well-documented policy options that would further help reforms and sectoral growth in the area of generation, transmission and distribution.
 
This is part of the NTPC's stated aim to become a world giant by backward and forward integration, besides striving to achieve global competitiveness in terms of power cost.
 
ASCI principal E A S Sarma and G K Agarwal, executive director (power management institute), NTPC, signed the MoU. NTPC will also be collaborating with IIT Bombay on technical issues, Agarwal said.
