Nutrition society meet in Mysore

Mysore will be the venue for the 36th annual meeting of the Nutrition Society of India (NSI).
 
The two-day meet, which begins on November 5 will be inaugurated at the Kala Mandira by Mark Wahlquist, president, International Union of Nutrition Societies and director, Asia Pacific Health and Nutrition Centre, Monash Asia Institute. The theme for the two-day meet will be 'Bridging the nutrition gap through value addition', Mysore University vice-chancellor J Shashidhara Prasad will release a souvenir to mark the meet, jointly organised by the University of Mysore, Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL) and the Nutrition Society of India.
 
CFTRI Director V Prakash will preside. DFRL Director A S Bawa will inaugurate the poster session. NSI Past President and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research former director general S Varadarajan will formally release the poster abstracts.
 
NSI founder president C Gopalan and two past presidents S Varadarajan and B S Narasinga Rao will speak.
