In a reprieve to Odisha, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has allowed the state government to develop a truncated solar park of 400 Mw capacity under the Scheme for Development of Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects.
The state government after failing to identify a contiguous patch of 5,000 acres of land for developing the 1,000 Mw solar park, has submitted a detailed project report for setting up 400 Mw park. The government has proposed to develop this park in the cluster mode. The ministry has given the nod to the state to go ahead with
