Offers to help develop Kakinada port

The Murugappa Group has indicated that it was not averse to initiating exploratory talks with the Kakinada Port authorities to work with them and develop and manage the port.

"We are the largest users of the Kakinada port and it is in our interest to ensure that the handling capacity at the port goes up. We would like to initiate discussion with them and find out where we can help," Vellayan said.
