Barack Obama has launched his official website, which invites users to share their ideas with the US President-elect, as he prepares for the transition to the White House.

Asking citizens to share their vision for America, Obama’s official website — www.change.gov — went online enabling visitors to post, search and share details related to the new President-elect’s remarkable journey to the Oval Office.

“Today, we begin in earnest the work of making sure that the world we leave our children is just a little bit better than the one we inhabit today,” Obama's quotes greet visitors on home page.

“The story of the campaign and this historic moment has been your story,” the website says, adding: “Share your story and ideas, and be a part of bringing lasting change to this country.”

Not to leave behind his goals, the website has a section which is exclusively devoted to agendas that Obama intends to address during his upcoming term in the White House.

Notable among his agendas are economy, taxes, energy and environment, homeland security, foreign policy, civil rights, healthcare and services.

The website states the Obama-Biden combine's plan of “increasing the number of legal immigrants to keep families together and meet the demand for jobs that employers cannot fill”.

According to reports, the website had seen an increase of 6 per cent of visitors on the very day Obama was elected as the president-elect of the world's most powerful country.
