OIL acquires field in Libya

OIL India has acquired its first overseas oil field in Libya outbidding global giants like Occidental and CNPC ."An MoU was signed yesterday in Tripoli," OIL officials said today.

The contract was signed between the consortium of OIL and IOC and the National Oil Company (NOC) of Libya.

Meanwhile, OIL has been rated as the 5th best PSU in a study conducted by India Today and Crisil, which examined the performance of 186 central PSUs.
