Oil inches up to $49.67/bbl

Global crude oil prices inched up further on Tuesday, with the Nymex U.S. light crude oil for July delivery adding 51 cents to settle at $49.67a barrel. The London Brent crude was up 44 cents at $48.77 per barrel.

In the metal category, the Comex gold gained 80 cents to close at $417.70 an ounce.
