Oil jumps to $53.71/bl

Oil price surged after falling in early trades on Monday. The Nymex U.S. light crude oil for May delivery rose 39 cents to settle at $53.71 a barrel, having dropped over $5.50 per barrel last week.

In the metal segment, the Comex gold jumped $1.60 to close at $430.40 an ounce.
