Oil ministry sets targets for 2004-05

A project at Panipat, petrol quality upgradation projects at the Mathura, Gujarat and Haldia refineries, and additional diesel hydro-treatment facilities at the Mathura refinery.  Among the pipeline projects included in the MoU is the Mundra-Kandla crude oil pipeline and the conversion of Kandla-Panipat section of the Kandla-Bhatinda pipeline to crude oil service, as well as the Chennai-Trichy-Madurai product pipeline system.  Balmer Lawrie has been earmarked sales volume target of Rs.825 crore during 2004-05 against previous years target of Rs.775 crore.  The company would strive to improve profitability through optimum utilisation of assets, promotion of focused in-house R&D activity and re-structuring.
