Oil nears $47-mark

International crude oil prices after a series of declines, moved up on Tuesday. While the Nymex U.S. light crude oil for June delivery added 36 cents to settle at $48.97 a barrel, the London Brent crude oil gained 26 cents to $49.37 per barrel.

In the metal segment, the Comex gold rose 50 cents to close at $419.80 an ounce.
