The Oil Sector Officers Association (OSOA) is going ahead with its indefinite strike from tomorrow even as the higher judiciary has restrained some PSU firms from stopping operations.

Petroleum Secretary R S Pandey today said work at only three of the 17 refineries would be affected, while ONGC would continue operations unhindered. Aviation services would not be affected, Pandey added.

The Delhi High Court has restrained executives of state-run gas utility GAIL (India) Ltd from going on an indefinite strike from tomorrow. The court, on an application from ONGC, granted status quo on an earlier stay, meaning employees of the driller can’t strike now.

Similarly, the Guwahati High Court has ordered Oil India Ltd workers to remain on the job. Also, in a November 17 order, the Delhi High Court had asked the IOC employees not to strike.
