Oil price eases to $53.63/bbl

Crude oil prices in the global market, which firmed up in recent trades, have eased in yesterday's trades. While the Nymex U.S. light crude oil for July delivery dropped 97 cents to close at $53.63 a barrel, the London Brent crude lost 80 cents to $53.30 per barrel.

In the commodities segment, the Comex gold shot up $7.10 to settle at $424.80 an ounce.
