Oil price inches past $52/bbl

Oil prices extended their upward momentum on Wednesday following the release of weekly inventory report. The Nymex U.S. light crude for May series added 15 cents to close at $52.44 a barrel.

The metal segment saw the Comex jump $2.30 to settle at $436.70 an ounce.
